Shelley Eisenhandler, a partner in McLagan’s asset management practice, leads the firm’s alternative asset management business. Shelley and colleagues deliver compensation consulting services to hedge funds, private equity firms, alternative credit boutiques, and real estate investment managers.
Her work in the alternative asset management industry is focused on helping clients link performance to reward. She has conducted annual compensation surveys, benefit studies, performance benchmarking analyses, incentive plan design work, and customized industry research for over 300 alternative asset managers. In addition, she provides compensation and human capital consulting services to other types of asset management firms.
Shelley also assists many hedge funds in their year-end decision making, often meeting with management and compensation committees. Most recently, Shelley spent a significant amount of her time focusing on pay equity, diversity and inclusion, and technology convergence, launching a new product, Tech Data Powered by Radford in which FS clients can now access tech firm compensation data.
Shelley has also been involved in bringing McLagan’s human capital strategy capabilities to alternative asset management firms. This includes selection and assessment, career progression, HR effectiveness, engagement, and performance management.
She is a frequent speaker on human capital strategy and compensation topics at hedge fund industry events.
Shelley joined McLagan in 2004 after spending two years at GE. She received a B.S. in marketing and economics from the University of Connecticut at Storrs.
